Well, you could say I finally threw in the towel on my home-built Tschetter.com site.  When I originally built Tschetter.com back in 1999 (November 1999 Archive), it was a hobby and a way to keep my technical skills sharp (ok, not quite sharp, but still dangerous).  From there, it evolved into something that bordered on obsession, with Tschetters from around the world stopping by to say "Hi!" and to try to connect with other Tschetters (October 2000 Archive).  The site was built on a database, used all the latest technology, and required crazy amounts of work to maintain.

 

Since then, kids (ok, just one, not counting myself) have come along, my career has evolved from technical to conceptual to management (technical skills no longer qualifying as "dangerous"), and Tschetter.com is now relegated to an MSN Spaces site that I can barely figure out.  :-)  The technology has changed, caught up, and far surpassed what I can build, but I guess that's ok.
